78 Degrees and sunny. How can you avoid the draw of the beach? Kate, our neighbor, directs us to their favorite seaside haunt-Woolcombe.
It is beautiful! And unique. We join the fellow sun worshipers 1/2 mile from the waves. Apparently, the point of going to the beach is not to be by the water, but to soak up the rays away from the wet sand. Everyone in the waves is in a wetsuit. The water is 60 degrees. Surfing is popular. Everyone has brought a surf board or buggy board. The waves are coming in this afternoon. They are about 2 feet high.
I use the vacation excuse to indulge in a cappuccino, Jesse explores the local pubs for new brews to try. This one reminds us of Hershey Park. Tacky is a requirement in all beach towns.
We stop by this beautiful pub on the way home- The Exmoore White Horse Inn. The building has survived since the 16th century.
Jesse orders a burger and fries. I order Chicken Kiev hoping that is tastes like Kristine's. It doesn't, but sometimes we miss American food and have to try.
Next Friday is our next adventure when we return to London for a Fulbright Event.
haha, their beaches look so different. Where did jesse get that Elephant shirt - its hilarious. And that inn is SO kool
