City Date

I now realize, after our city date, that we are country people. I didn't plan to end up this way, but that's how it is...

Jesse had a free hotel at the Marriott Renaissance in downtown DC for a meeting he had to attend.
I decided to invite myself and spend all of his food allowance! On the recommendation of a friend, we tried La Tasca and had so much fun!

I have never been a sangria fan till now.
We loved the food, the atmosphere and the great service!

After a great night, I had to work the next morning. Apparently, the metro is not open till 0700 on Saturdays. I found this out at 0630 when I was wandering around DC looking for an open metro trying not to trip over the hobos. Even if you are fortunate enough to enter a station first thing in the morning, don't expect a train till 35 minutes later. They also do maintenance on weekends, so expect delays. I left the hotel at 0630 and arrived at work at 0830. (It was supposed to be a 15 min metro ride). Now I know only to go to DC with a city person.
