I finally took enough pictures to develop my film sooo... Starting back in October is Pumpkin day. (Click on our pumpkins to see more photos)
Chris and Kiara joined us for our Butler's orchard pumpkin hunt tradition. You just can't pick one up at Giant, you have to walk through at least two fields of rotting pumpkins to find a perfect carvable pumpkin fro your doorstep. Jesse chose to embody the essence of our new house by carving his "Damascus hick". The cigarette hanging out of his mouth would have been a fire hazard and probably would cause him to be smashed on his debut night by our black lung neighbors. And no, we did not shut our all our lights and hide in our basement from the "trick or treaters". We joined the neighbors sitting out on their front porches laughing as they handed out candy to about 200 kids! Good thing I had two bags of Costco candy!
