With the knowledge that we would soon be bringing a little human in this world, I began to evaluate what kind of life we would introduce her to.

I began a radical food overhaul, but I knew that I would need to start with manageable baby steps or else this healthy food kick would be just like a new year's diet (over in a month).
So, My goals for 2011 were:
- When shopping for produce, buy at least the "Dirty Dozen" organic
- 50% of milk we consume to be from pastured grass fed cows
- 75% of the meat we eat to be organic, grass fed, and with no antibiotics or hormones
- Buy free roaming chicken eggs from the farm down the road
- Start a garden
- Start composting

So now I have some lettuce, herbs, strawberries and soon to come-peppers. We shall see if my black thumb curses my poor little plants...
You're gonna have to show me your container garden tips. That's one of my goals once we get a house. :-)
