We spent Jesse's 31st birthday visiting the historic Tuscan hill town of Siena.
The medieval cityscape of Siena is dominated by the Torre del Mangia.
Siena's sloping Piazza Del Campo. Here we tried the renown Tuscan cooking. Jesse ordered the wild boar on homemade pasta, while I went with a rabbit ragout pasta. After tasting each others plates we decided to trade. Jesse loved the rabbit!
The Cathedral of Siena was constructed using beautifully unique green marble.
These pics bring back great memories for me. Thanks for sharing them. I remember clinbing the tower with Dan Calderone. Sleeping on the brick "lawn" on a sunny day with our group and being "wowed" by the zebra colors of the cathedral inside.
ReplyDeleteWow!! So many memories...
ReplyDeleteThere are two very peaceful memories in my mind... one sailing in Bermuda after taking Dramamine, and laying in the sun in the courtyard in Sienna.
Rest defined!
