DC restaurant week

This year for the CD restaurant week we re-visited last years pick and dined at Ruth Chris Steak house in Dupont Circle.

Extra bonus for this year was the presidential motorcade that drove by as we waited for our steak!

A Painful Resort?

That would be Seven Springs Ski Resort-

Mom and dad rented out a condo for the weekend along with pre-paid lift tickets and retals for the fam- how could we pass that up?

So we hit the slopes- literally for me

Yes-I am dreadfully out of shape and really don't know how to snowboard (even though I can fake it for a few minutes) so now I look ahead to a week of sore muscles.

Jesse could not be pursuaded to be sore for a week or permanently injured- he chilled at the bar enojoying the playoffs. (which was probably the smart way to go)

Despite the aching muscles- we had so much fun!

Thanks Mom and Dad for the trip!

We loved spending so much time with you and the boys.

Christmas day traditionally begins at 12:01 for Jesse and I. We stay up late to open our stockings stuffed by each other so we can sleep in Christmas morning.

Our Polish Christmas began Christmas Eve with the coveted perogie Dinner...

Since Jesse and I would spend Christmas Day with the Simpsons, we did an early gift exchange my dad was just a little excited about his mystery gift... he arranged 4 layers of clues for us-

We had so much fun shopping for all our gifts and watching as our family opened their special gifts. Most of all it was special to have my family in town for the holidays- This is the first year they have ever been home for Christmas!
